NOTES FROM JANUARY 17 MEETING Phew! What a meeting!!
GOAL: Lessen the number of animals on the streets.
We came up with a ton of reasons that this is important: Public safety, risk of animals in testing, wildlife concerns, overpopulation, dogfighting.
After listing a number of different ideas to reach our goal, we decided to do a fundraiser to raise funds for the Wisconsin Humane Society's work to help homeless animals and to educate people about homeless animals, animals on the street and roaming animals. Some ideas for the fundraiser are:
Dinner
Skit/YouTube Video
Info Fair
Raffle
Combination of the above
TO DO: Now we have to figure out HOW we are going to accomplish this. What is it going to look like? What resources do we have at our disposal? What skills can members bring to the table? So for our next meeting, please come with ideas about what we will do specifically and how you can personally contribute.
Thank you all again for your enthusiasm and commitment to animals in our community! See you at our next meeting on Tuesday, February 7 at 4p.m.!
